POSITION DESCRIPTION

​

MANAGER

  • Recruit, interview, hire and train bar staff 

  • Interact with customers to develop loyalty and handle customer concerns 

  • Ensure all licenses are current including health, safety and liquor

  • Ensure staff is following all food control and safety regulations

  • Create employee schedules based on expected customer numbers

  • Ensure bars are profitable by analyzing liquor costs versus sales 

  • Work with liquor vendors to develop new productions or promotions for the bar

  • Set and maintain standards for safe food handling, cleanliness and safety

  • Negotiate with vendors, order supplies, manage inventories and budget

 

LINE COOK

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions

  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food

  • Stock inventory appropriately

  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

 

BARBACK

We are looking for a Bar-back to support our Bartenders and the rest of our staff. You’ll assist with bar opening and closing procedures and perform various behind-the-bar tasks, such as restocking the bar and preparing garnishes.

If you’re interested in kick-starting your career in the hospitality industry, this is a great opportunity to get first-hand experience of how a bar operates.

Ultimately, you’ll help ensure that our guests get an excellent customer service and enjoy their time at our bar.

Note that, to be considered for this role, you should be legally authorized to work in a bar where alcoholic beverages are served and consumed. You should also be available to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

 

Responsibilities

  • Tidy up tables, counters and other bar areas

  • Collect empty glasses and bottles

  • Restock the bar with straws, coasters and napkins

  • Prepare mixers, juices and cocktail garnishes

  • Replenish peanuts and fruits

  • Change out beer kegs and replace liquor bottles

  • Remove trash and wipe down drink spills

  • Refill ice bins

  • Clean rags throughout the shift

  • Assist the Bartenders during rush hours

 

Requirements

  • Minimum age to serve alcohol

  • Interest in the hospitality industry; previous entry-level experience in a bar or restaurant is not mandatory, but will be considered a plus

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Team spirit

  • Basic knowledge of bar menu items and recipes (different types of beers and mixed drinks)

  • Physical ability to lift beer kegs, hold trays of bottles and glassware and stand during the shift

  • Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends and public holidays

  • High school diploma; additional certification in mixology or hospitality is a plus

 

WAITRESS/WAITER

Our busy restaurant is looking for a friendly and competent waitress/waiter to make sure our diners have a memorable experience. Since the quality of our service is crucial to success, the ideal candidate should possess clear communication skills, patience and attentiveness. You should be adept at working in fast-paced, unpredictable environments. You must be able to think on your feet and work well with the entire staff, from the chefs to the other servers. The successful applicant will be able to provide superior guest service and make certain the dining experience, from the food to the environment, meets the standards of our patrons.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers upon entrance

  • Prepare dining tables by arranging condiments, kitchenware and decorations

  • Help patrons select dishes by answering questions about foods and drinks, describing house specialties and identifying appropriate drink pairings

  • Take orders to kitchen staff and notify them of any special requests or dietary needs

  • Deliver food to guests in a timely manner and attend to the needs of guests throughout the dining process

  • Issue bills and obtain payment

HOSTESS

  • Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.

  • Ascertains their dining/lodging needs.

  • Seats guests and manage the seating chart.

  • Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow.

  • Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.

  • Performs opening and closing duties, as needed.

  • Assists others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.

  • Helps fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.

 

ASSISTANT MANAGER

Description:

We are looking for a Restaurant Assistant Manager to ensure all daily activities run smoothly and efficiently.

Restaurant Assistant Manager responsibilities include ordering kitchen utensils and equipment based on our needs, managing contracts and payroll and supervising restaurant staff performance. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with restaurant operations and have a good understanding of what makes a great customer service. You should also be available to work within opening hours, including weekends and holidays.

Ultimately, you will help minimize operating costs, boost our employee retention and deliver a positive dining experience for our guests.

 

Responsibilities

  • Research new wholesale food suppliers and negotiate prices

  • Calculate future needs in kitchenware and equipment and place orders, as needed

  • Manage and store vendors’ contracts and invoices

  • Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff

  • Prepare shift schedules

  • Process payroll for all restaurant staff

  • Supervise kitchen and wait staff and provide assistance, as needed

  • Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues

  • Arrange for new employees’ proper on-boarding (scheduling training's and ordering uniforms)

  • Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations

  • Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus

 

Requirements

  • Work experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry

  • Familiarity with restaurant management software, like Open Table and CLOVER POS system

  • Good math and reporting skills

  • Customer service attitude

  • Communication and team management abilities

  • Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends)

Bottle Server Host/Bartender

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Server to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking orders, serving VIP Clients, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate should have a friendly personality, be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment and have a strong knowledge of champagne and spirits.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to cocktailing in the VIP/ Bottle Service area, as well as cocktail service for the club floor. Pay is 15% of VIP sales as well as tips from the club floor:

  • Greet customers and take orders in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Provide excellent customer service, a positive attitude every shift and treat everyone (clients and colleagues alike) with respect.

  • Strong working knowledge of all beverages

  • Supports other team members to ensure smooth operations and a seamless customer experience.

  • Memorizes daily drink specials as well as customer favorites.

  • Deliver drinks, maneuvering trays through large crowds.

  • Requires constant movement between bar and floor and up/down stairs.

  • Maintains composure, remains calm and patient despite dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Set up tables and guest areas.

  • Take food orders in the bottle service area and ensure that all orders are served in a timely manner.

  • Answer questions about nightclub events, club policies, and VIP pricing.

  • Have knowledge of processing payments accurately and efficiently with POS.

  • Clean tables, counters, and all guest areas. Clean spills, remove food, trash or other obstacles from floor using proper lifting techniques.

Recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of the manager.
